I LOVE Lord of the Rings. I read it first in High School and thought I had found nirvana. I couldn’t get enough of it.
Read the trilogy, then the Hobbit, then the Silmarillion. And more.
It spoke to a quest. To a journey where not all survive. But the heroes return to a new life, changed but in the same space.
I haven’t blogged in awhile. My wife became very ill, had surgery and she is fine now. I had a very bad reaction to medication and nearly checked out. Our first granddaughter was born. We bought a new car.
There were personal changes within me that will be coming out over the coming months.
The last line of the last book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy was spoken by Master Sam-wise to his dear wife Rosie.
“We’ll, I’m back” he said.
I am too. Different, wiser and done with a huge quest. I love mushrooms like Sam, too.
